A police officer spotted a lost little boy walking down the street. He approached the boy and asked him what his name was…
“Reuben,” the boy said.
“But what’s your last name?”
“Spider-Man,” the boy replied.
When police Sgt. James Butler saw the little boy walking down Des Moines‘ Court Avenue he asked him where his parents were.
“I don’t know,” the boy said.
Butler called in to ask if there had been any missing child reports. There hadn’t been. The officer asked the boy his name.
“Reuben,” he said.
Butler asked, “What’s your last name?”
The boy replied, “Spider-Man.”
Butler said: “Right. Reuben Spider-Man.”
Butler bought lil’ Reuben Spider-Man a McDonald’s Happy Meal and drove him around hoping Reuben would spot something familiar. After a while a call came into the Sargent that Liberian immigrants were searching for their missing nephew who had wandered away from a park where he was playing.
Lil’ Reuben Spider-Man was returned to his family safe, but we never did learn what his secret identity was. Go to page 2 to see his picture!
