THE FLARE-UP: SHORT CIRCUIT 2 – THE COMEDY SERIES

Everybody has their personal favorite viral videos, and I’ve been getting a ton of emails from people saying, “Hey, this is the funniest thing ever, you should post it!” and it’s something that’s been around for 2 years already, but this person is coming across it for the first time. Here’s the solution. The Flare-Up. We’re gonna try to post videos that we think are too good to forget about from the past, just in case you may have missed them or made the mistake of forgetting about them. These were awesome, remain awesome, and just like anything viral, can sneak up and bite you in the ass when you least expect it. We’re not going to be doing the Star Wars Kid or the Dancing Baby or crap everybody knows, but we’re going to post ones we shouldn’t forget about.

This time around, we’re shedding some light on the TREMENDOUS re-dubbed stylings of one of my fondest childhood heroes: Johnny 5.  There’s like 12 episodes of this floating around on YouTube, but this one is my favorite, just for what he says when he rolls out of the box. (but if you’re curious, the one with Los Locos is Episode III.)

Today, from across the pond, comes probably the greatest thing I’ve ever seen. Courtesy some comedy show on BBC 3 called The Mighty Boosh, comes “Old Gregg”. It’s going to be tough to beat this, in terms of sheer random awesomeness. Don’t try to comprehend it, just watch it. You’ll be shouting “I’m old GREGG!” and talking about your mangina all day, my fuzzy little man-peach. It’s worth it to watch the whole thing, especially The Story of The Funk. (It’s the cartoon part about 6 minutes in.) You’re welcome.
